Hung inside the shop window, behind the cakes. The heart was drawn by the owner's daughter, aged nine; we bent it as she drew it.

   Behind glass the sign lights the window display first and the street second — the halo is part of the display.

2. (b.)

   The heart is a separate tube so it can be lit alone on Sundays, when the shop opens only in the morning.

3. (c.)

   Window signs hang on chains from the ceiling rail, never from the glass.
