What it is made of
Absolutes are made by extracting the flowers with a solvent into a waxy concrete, washing it with ethanol, chilling out the waxes and evaporating the alcohol. What is left can be 80 to 90 per cent aromatic material. Jasmine, tuberose and rose absolutes are among the most expensive things a perfumer buys.
People wearing it
Proper jasmine, not soap. Two sprays at six and it was still there when I got home after midnight.
