Treatments and prices.
Everything starts with a 45-minute assessment for £62. Follow-ups are 30 minutes for £48. No GP referral needed.
Your first appointment, whatever the problem.
We take a history, look at how you move, measure the range of the joints involved, start treatment and give you exercises. You leave knowing what we think is going on and what happens next.
- Wear or bring shorts and a vest top or T-shirt
- 45 minutes, one-to-one
- A written plan and your exercise sheet
Treatment, a re-measure, and your exercises moved on.
We check how the last week went, re-measure, treat, and change your exercises if they've become too easy or too hard.
- 30 minutes
- The same physio each time where we can
- Your range re-measured every visit
For road, trail and fell runners, and anyone hurt playing sport.
Tom looks at the injury and at how you run, with a video of you on the treadmill if it helps. You get a return-to-running plan with weekly distances as well as a date to aim for.
- Bring the shoes you run in
- Treadmill video if it's useful
- A week-by-week return plan
Pregnancy and postnatal back and pelvic pain, bladder leaks, prolapse symptoms.
Priya sees you in a private room with time to talk. An internal examination is only ever offered, explained first, and never needed to get started.
- 60-minute first appointment
- A chaperone if you would like one
- Babies welcome at postnatal appointments
Knee and hip replacements, ACL reconstruction, shoulder repairs.
We follow your surgeon's protocol, measure your range each week and build strength towards the things you had the operation for.
- Bring your discharge letter
- We can start a week or two after the operation
- Home visits if you can't drive yet
Deep tissue massage before or after an event, or for tight, overworked muscles.
Iwan is a sports massage therapist, not a physiotherapist: if he thinks something needs assessing, he'll book you in with one of us.
- 45 minutes
- Not a substitute for an assessment
- Gift vouchers available
Six people at most, run by a physiotherapist, Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Mat-based classes for people with back pain, after rehab, or who want strength and control without a gym. You'll have a short one-to-one first so we know what to adapt.
- £84 for a 6-week block
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 18:15 and 19:15
- Mats provided
For people who can't get to the yard: after surgery, after a fall, or housebound.
We come to you within 10 miles of Kendal. We look at how you get in and out of a chair, up the stairs and round the house, and leave a plan your family can help with.
- Within 10 miles of Kendal
- Mornings, Monday to Friday
- Mileage included in the price
AreasWhat it gets in the way of
Problems we see most, by the movement they stop.
01
Back
Bending to the floor
Low back pain, sciatica, stiffness after a long drive or a day at the desk.
Most back pain settles within weeks, and staying active helps. We check what's going on, show you which movements are safe to keep doing, and treat what's slowing you down.

Neck
Looking up at the fells
Stiff necks, headaches that start in the neck, whiplash after a car accident.
We look at how your neck and upper back move together, use hands-on treatment where it helps, and give you a few exercises that fit round a working day.

Shoulder
Reaching the top shelf
Frozen shoulder, rotator cuff pain, shoulders after a dislocation or an operation.
We measure how far your arm lifts and turns, find out what's limiting it, and build up range and strength week by week.

Elbow & wrist
Lifting the kettle
Tennis and golfer's elbow, wrist sprains, hand stiffness after a fracture.
Load is usually the answer: we find a level of exercise your tendon can take now, then raise it.

Hip
Climbing a stile
Hip osteoarthritis, groin strains, pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy.
Strength work for the hip and the muscles round it, advice on walking distances, and a plan you can keep up at home.

Crouching to the bottom shelf
Runner's knee, osteoarthritis, rehab after a knee replacement or ACL surgery.
We measure your bend and straighten, check how the knee copes with stairs and squats, and give you a graded programme.

Ankle & foot
The first steps in the morning
Ankle sprains, Achilles pain, heel pain that's worst when you get out of bed.
Calf and foot strength, the right amount of walking or running, and footwear advice. The knee-to-wall test tells us how far your ankle bends.
