FAQQuestions
Questions people ask before they book.
If yours isn't here, ring Jo on 01632 960418.
01Before you come
No. You can book yourself in. If your insurer asks for a GP referral, they'll tell you when you call them.
Usually within the week, often sooner. Ring Jo: we keep a few short-notice slots every day.
Something that lets us see the area that hurts: shorts for knees and hips, a vest top or T-shirt for necks and shoulders. There's a changing area if you'd rather bring them.
Yes, a friend or family member is welcome in the room. If you'd like a chaperone, we'll arrange one.
02At the appointment
Some tests and treatments are uncomfortable for a moment. We tell you before we do anything, and you can stop us at any time.
Most people don't. If we think a scan or a specialist opinion would change what we do, we'll say so and write to your GP.
03Afterwards
We give you our estimate at the first appointment and review it every time. Some people need one visit and a good exercise plan; most need between two and six.
Then we change the plan, or refer you on: to your GP, a specialist, or a different kind of therapist. We'll write the letter.
04Money
£62 for the first appointment (45 minutes) and £48 for a follow-up (30 minutes). Prices for everything else are on the Fees page.
Usually, yes. Call your insurer for an authorisation code before your first visit and bring it with you.
