AFTERLIGHT
What it is
Free-rein round-1 build, assigned archetype F (film-reel noir), backbone to be taken from F's unused sites. Subject invented to suit it: Afterlight, a memorial for the silent films lost on nitrate (fires, decay, neglect). A fictional trust keeps a register of lost films and holds a yearly Vigil on 9 July (the anniversary of the real 1937 Fox vault fire at Little Ferry, NJ), where it screens whatever survives and sits in the dark for the rest.
This is the build's own brief, kept as it was written. AFTERLIGHT is a demonstration build: it is real, it runs, and it is not a client job.
Measured palette
Six colours sampled from the build itself, in the order they were found. They are listed because a palette is a decision, and decisions should be visible.
