Yes, a bit. Most people describe a hot scratch. Ribs, feet, hands, inner arms and the spine are sharper; outer arms, thighs and calves are easier. We stop whenever you need a break, and most first tattoos take under two hours.

18 for tattoos, and we check ID: it’s the law in Great Britain under the Tattooing of Minors Act 1969. Piercing ages are on the piercing page.

Often, yes. Bring it to a consultation. A cover-up usually has to be bigger and darker than the old piece, and very dark old work may need a few laser sessions first. Black lasers out more easily than yellow or green.

For piercing, Thursdays 12:00–18:00 and Saturdays 10:00–17:00. Tattoos are by appointment, except our flash day on the first Saturday of the month.

Our minimum is £80. After that it’s £120 an hour or £650 for a full day. You get a price at the consultation, before you pay a deposit.

It isn’t refundable, but it moves with your date if you give us 72 hours’ notice. It comes off the price of your last sitting.

Ask at your consultation. Some creams change how skin takes ink, so we’ll tell you which one works and when to put it on.

One person can sit with you. Children and dogs can’t come into the tattoo room.

We won’t tattoo or pierce during pregnancy or while you’re unwell. Tell us at consultation about blood thinners, diabetes, skin conditions or allergies.

Yes, but it reads softer on darker skin, and pale colours can almost disappear. Callum will show you healed colour on skin like yours before you decide.

Eat beforehand, drink water, skip alcohol for 24 hours, and wear clothes that open or roll up to the spot.
