Kumo, “spider”, pleated and bound

Free UK delivery over £60. Returns within 30 days.

For each starburst we pinch up a point of linen, pleat it finely and bind it tight with thread from the tip down. The tip stays blue, the binding stays white and the pleats make the rays.

Kumo means spider. A set takes Kit most of a morning to bind, which is why there are four and not six.

Used them for my mum’s 70th. Four people asked where they were from. The deep blue is very deep.

Beautiful. One napkin had a slightly smaller starburst than the others. I didn’t mind but some might.
