We pack on weekdays and send most orders within 2 working days. Every parcel is tracked and wrapped in paper, no plastic.

Orders placed after 2pm on Friday go out on Monday. For Europe we pay the import duties, so nothing extra is due on the doorstep.
Returns
You have 30 days from delivery to send something back, unused and unwashed.
In the UK we email you a free Royal Mail returns label. From abroad, postage is yours.
We refund within 5 working days of it reaching us, to the card you paid with. Swapping for a different shade or size is free.
To start one, write to [email protected] with your order number.
Care
Wash at 30° on its own for the first three washes. A little blue comes out at first; that’s loose dye from the surface, not the colour fading.
Line dry out of strong sun. Iron linen while it’s still damp.
No bleach and no “colour catcher” sheets. Indigo softens with washing, and that’s part of it.
Questions
1.0Why does each piece look a little different?
Every fold, binding and clamp is done by hand and every dip lands slightly differently. The photos on each product page show three pieces from the current batch so you can see how much they vary.
2.0What do Pale, Mid and Deep mean?
How many times the cloth went into the vat: 4, 8 or 16 dips, aired in between. More dips, deeper blue.
3.0Will the blue run?
A little loose dye comes out in the first wash or two. Wash it on its own three times and after that it behaves like any other cloth.
4.0Do you sell to shops?
Yes, to a few independent shops. Write to Ruth at [email protected] with where you are and what you have in mind.
5.0Can I visit?
The dye room isn’t a shop, but you can collect an order by arrangement on a Thursday afternoon. Email first.
