CUTOFF
What it is
Free-rein brief, run unattended (builder #46, round 1). Assigned family: archetype I (conversion template studio). Subject chosen to fit the backbone: CUTOFF, a (fictional) outdoor-lighting consultancy in Hexham, Northumberland. It surveys, redesigns and re-fits outdoor lights for farms, campsites, wedding venues, villages and homes near the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park, so yards stay lit and safe while glare and skyglow go. It sells on the page: services → proof → pricing → FAQ → booking a night survey. Audience: farmers, campsite owners, parish clerks, homeowners in rural Northumberland, holiday-let owners. Goal: book a night survey. Content: none supplied, so all art is drawn by one code engine (night sky + lamps). Facts about the real world are checked with `scripts/facts.py` (Bortle scale, SQM, DarkSky International, light pollution, Kielder Observatory). Constraints: Vite + vanilla JS, GSAP/Lenis, multi-page, English, test machine is an old laptop (bake heavy renders).
This is the build's own brief, kept as it was written. CUTOFF is a demonstration build: it is real, it runs, and it is not a client job.
Measured palette
Six colours sampled from the build itself, in the order they were found. They are listed because a palette is a decision, and decisions should be visible.
