What it is

Free-rein brief ("a website about anything you want"), assigned style family archetype E (paper-craft / soft product), built unattended as round 1 of a build → test → rate loop. Goal: impress (award-level showcase) while reading as a real small business a visitor could commission. Constraints: Vite + vanilla JS + GSAP/ScrollTrigger + Lenis, self-hosted fonts, no network except npm/fonts, must hold up at 1440×900, ≈1680×950 and 390×844 in software-rendered Chromium. Subject (invented to suit the backbone): Peony & Willow — a fictional two-person workshop that makes Japanese-style spherical firework shells (warimono) entirely by hand: stars rolled in colour layers around a seed, laid into two paper hemispheres around a burst charge of powder-coated rice hulls, then pasted shut in layer after layer of kraft paper strips. The brand is fictional; every fact about fireworks in the copy must be true.

This is the build's own brief, kept as it was written. PEONY & WILLOW is a demonstration build: it is real, it runs, and it is not a client job.

Measured palette

Six colours sampled from the build itself, in the order they were found. They are listed because a palette is a decision, and decisions should be visible.
