Before you come
The banks are clay and narrow. Wear flat shoes that can get muddy, and bring a hat: there is no shade on the marsh.
Why evenings: fleur de sel is picked at the end of the day, so you see it formed and gathered. If it rains, we walk anyway and show you why the harvest stops.
From September to June there are no walks. In winter the pans are flooded with seawater to protect the clay.
04What you will see
The pan,
month by month
The walks run in the two months when the pans are full of salt. The rest of the year, this is what the same pan looks like.
