From the west
Leave the M6 or the A66 for Kirkby Stephen, then take the B6270 through Nateby and over the moor into Swaledale, about 11 miles. Our gate is on the left, a mile before Keld. This is the way to come with a caravan.
How do we get there?
We're a mile upstream of Keld on the B6270, at the head of Swaledale. Postcodes up here cover miles of moor, so for the last stretch follow these directions, not the satnav.
Which way should we come?

From Hawes, take the Buttertubs Pass to Thwaite, turn left for Keld and carry on through the village. The pass was a Tour de France climb in 2014: lovely in a car, not with a caravan.
From Richmond, follow the B6270 up the dale through Reeth, Gunnerside, Muker and Thwaite. Thwaite is 9.3 miles west of Reeth; we are about three and a half miles beyond it.
Kirkby Stephen station is on the Settle to Carlisle line, with trains from Leeds and Carlisle. Tell us your train and we'll collect you: £15 each way.
Walking the Coast to Coast or the Pennine Way? Both cross at Keld. Come up the river road from the village and the drying room is yours.
Arrive between 2pm to 8pm. If you're running late, ring and we'll chalk your pitch number on the gate. Drive slowly over the cattle grid: there are lambs about in spring.
