Insurance

Four steps, most of them done before you come

Insured? We bill them, not you.

  1. 01

    Ask your insurer first

Ring them before you book. They give you an authorisation number. Many policies ask for a GP referral before a specialist; we can do that referral here.

  2. 02

Book and give us the number

Add the insurer's name, your policy number and the authorisation number when you book, online or on the phone.

  3. 03

We send the bill to them

After your appointment we invoice your insurer directly. Keep the authorisation number until the claim is settled.

  4. 04

You pay the rest, if any

Your excess, and anything your policy doesn't cover, is paid on the day. You get a receipt by email for every payment.

In our experience, most policies cover cardiology, scans and tests after a referral; fewer cover GP appointments themselves. Check yours: in 2018, three quarters of private healthcare for UK patients was paid for by insurance, and every policy is different.
