IMPRIMATUR
What it is
Free-rein brief: a stunning site, built by blending library styles, different from every earlier build, with every effect recreated from measured recipe values. Backbone pool (least-explored): ousmane-dembele-ballon-dor, cartier-watches-wonders-2025, santioni-spirits. Subject (chosen after the backbone): Britain's line-engraved penny stamps, 1840–1881. Each change of colour was a fix against fraud. Brand: IMPRIMATUR, a fictional plating desk on Fleet Street that reads a stamp's corner letters and plate number and tells the owner where on the sheet it was printed. Goal: explain (the story of the colours), then convert (send a stamp to the desk). Audience: people who own or inherit old GB stamps, collectors, the curious. Content: real facts (RESEARCH.md) and archive scans (public/archive, CC0/PD/CC BY). Stack: Vite + vanilla JS + GSAP/ScrollTrigger + Lenis, multi-page (index, plating, desk, sources, 404).
This is the build's own brief, kept as it was written. IMPRIMATUR is a demonstration build: it is real, it runs, and it is not a client job.
Measured palette
Six colours sampled from the build itself, in the order they were found. They are listed because a palette is a decision, and decisions should be visible.
