The problem

The old site listed sailings as a PDF per season. Islanders checked it on the pier, zoomed in, and still missed the 14:20 because a summer timetable had replaced it overnight.

What I did

  • A departures board that shows the next three boats from the port you are standing at.
  • One ticket flow for foot passengers, cars and freight, with the price shown before any form field.
  • A timetable that rebuilds itself from the operator’s schedule file every night, so nobody edits HTML again.
