Every book starts white.

Before there is any art, we build the book in plain white card: every piece cut, scored and glued by hand, so you can open it, break it and ask for changes while they are still cheap.

Who you work with

Two of us, one cutting mat.

Hattie Moss

Paper engineer

Trained as a structural engineer, then spent six years at a London packaging firm designing boxes that open themselves. Designs the mechanisms and builds every dummy.

Joel Baptiste

Production

Ran the pre-press desk at a Norfolk printer for eleven years. Turns our dummies into die-lines, glue maps and the notes a factory needs, and goes to see the first copies made.
