CAMBIUM is named after the thin living layer under the bark, where every ring is made. We are arboricultural consultants: four of us, a tomograph, a resistance drill, a climbing kit and a lot of drawing.

Independence
We never quote for the work we recommend. It keeps every recommendation honest, and it’s the reason councils and insurers trust our reports.
Measure, then decide
An opinion about a tree is cheap. A tomogram, a drill trace and a number you can check are not, and they change outcomes.

Reports written for the person who owns the tree, with the technical appendix for the people who need it.
Keep what can be kept
Old trees can’t be replaced in a lifetime. When a tree can stay with the right work, we say so and show why.

Twelve to twenty-four sensors, a hammer and software that turns sound times into a map.

Resistance drill
A fine needle that records how hard it is to drill: a density trace through the wood.

Climbing kit
For looking at unions, cavities and fungi up in the crown, not guessing from the ground.
