The critic, round 1
Smalț translates Lightweight's grammar (black story / grey spec, 12px caps rail, + marks, ring-and-crosshair curtain, giant italic footer wordmark) into radiology, and it works well. The procedurally drawn radiographs are the standout: one engine produces every image, and scroll changes the exposure (develop → findings ringed → scan-line inversion to grey). A juror would screenshot that. The ring curtain between pages matches refs/lightweight/10–12 closely and reads as one continuous move, with no flashes. The phone menu flows straight into the curtain instead of closing back to the page first. It falls short of Site of the Day because of craft slips: a blank label-less pill on the Cabinet location section, and headlines whose ink-fill leaves them half-grey long after they have settled. Pacing is also repetitive: the long 3×3 film grid and the chains of spec-row pages have little scale contrast, and they lack the huge-type or asymmetric moments that Lightweight uses to break its rhythm.
- The code-drawn radiograph engine (panoramic, macro crops, implant story a–d, mixed dentition, VITA shade tabs) gives the site a real, ownable art direction with no stock photos
- Hero set-piece: scrolling changes exposure → the findings are ringed with FDI labels → a film-blue scan line inverts the image into the grey 'Planul, pe hârtie' mode. This is a true twist on Lightweight's lighting pin
- The ring+crosshair route curtain (motion_intro loader, nav_desktop 827–2200ms, nav_phone 496–1200ms) is continuous, the header never vanishes, and the phone menu carries straight into the transition

How it was madeowner brief: a dental practice in Craiova (Romanian copy); one procedural radiograph engine (FDI dentition with real crown/root dims + panoramic magnification, enamel/dentin/pulp by EDT chord thickness, PDL + lamina dura, trabecular bone, cortices, sinus/canal/palate, restorations, implant, follicles) draws every picture in 3 modes (radiograph, traced plate outlines, porcelain VITA tabs), baked to WebP by scripts/bake.py; hero = pinned panoramic where scroll scrubs exposure → six findings ringed → film-blue scan-line inversion into the grey written plan (lightweight "light, not camera"); ring+crosshair curtain = loader/route/menu with measured lightweight timings; pinned implant story in 4 films; hands-on odontogram explorer (exact tooth silhouettes, dolly + live hi-res crop in a worker, symptoms → booking form/URL); 404 "404 nu e un dinte"; lab tuned 8 rounds; 7 recipes in full + 6 for values, 16 ref images
