How big
is a medium
Every bouquet is measured once it's made: height from the bottom of the stems to the top of the tallest flower, width across the flowers. The bottle beside it is a standard 75 cl one, about 30 cm tall.
A medium Florist's choice is 18–22 stems.
From bucket
to doorstep
What happens between your order and their front door, at the bench behind the counter.

01. Conditioned
Every stem is cut at an angle and stood in deep water overnight before it goes into anything.

02. Built in the hand
Hand-tied bouquets go round in a spiral, so the stems sit side by side and drink evenly, then we tie them where they cross.

03. Wrapped
Ivory tissue and the season's colour, then kraft, with a bag of water tied round the stems for the drive.

04. The card
Clare or Priya copies your message onto the card in ink, word for word, and tucks it in at the front.
When they
arrive
- 01.
Take the wrapping off, cut a centimetre off each stem at an angle and put them straight into water.
- 02.
Change the water every couple of days. Cut flowers keep drinking but have no roots to draw on.
- 03.
Keep them somewhere cool. Warmth opens them faster; cold makes them last longer.
- 04.
Not next to the fruit bowl. Ripe fruit gives off ethylene, and ethylene ages flowers.
